John M.

I recently qualified as a second level teacher with a Masters of Education in English from NUI Galway in Ireland and I have worked in state education institutions for the past two and a half years. One of the most fascinating aspects of my time in training and working was communicating with students who were not native speakers of English. Therefore, I am eager to become a part of your prestigious institution.

My high energy approach and motivational attitude in the classroom had a welcome effect on students as they grasped topics quickly. I spent time outside of school hours preparing non-English speaking students for exams and further lengthening their knowledge of the curriculum, resulting in positive exam results.

I also assessed new student?s levels of the English language, teaching students with varying levels of English. I taught native-English students and I was able to successfully integrate non-English speakers into these classes, creating an intercultural environment in my classrooms.

The high level of English I attained at University and developed during my time in the classroom has provided me with the skills, willingness to learn and motivation to make a significant contribution to non-English speaking students and their experience of the English language.

I believe my experience teaching in a multinational environment and my ability to work comfortably either individually or as part of a team would make me an asset to your institution.

I would like to thank you for considering my application and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
