Hello, my name is Michelle. I am married but no children. I am a Filipino and I worked in a childcare institution back in Shanghai, China for three years and eight months. During my fulltime job as a pre school teacher in weekdays, I am also working as a home tutor during weekends. I teach phonics, motor skills, arts, Reading, writing, speaking and listening English language and numbers. I also fetching the kids for afterschool activities because the training school I worked for offered a lot of classes to help kids on the different subjects that they are having difficulties in grade school as well as we help them at their homework. Before I started my job as a pre school teacher, I worked as a nanny for four months. I assist the mother during breast feeding, I also learn a lot about infant care. Now I went back to Philippines to get married and now I am currently working as a caregiver to help a relative. I am taking care of a bedridden 72 years old stroked patient. I know basic caregiving skills and healthcare. It was a learning experience. Back to my work experience, My pupils call me laoshi M or teacher M because it was not easy to them to call my long English name. I love teaching children and dealing with them is not easy but I feel inspired and happier when I am interacting with my pupils and students, also I want to be part of nurturing the future generation. I believe that teachers has the biggest role in the growth and learning development of the child. Being a teacher is also a partners of parents to the child education and to activate their own natural desire to learn. Children must be taught how to think, not what to think. I also think that play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning. I believe that I teach from the heart and not from the book. As educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all. I also learn many things from children and one of them is how much patience you have for instance. I change my career path and choose to pursue an educator because teachers is the key to the betterment of society. I Now I am looking for a greener pasture to work in Europe.
